(Shame on you :-D) "The Painted Man" is a great fantasy novel about three characters who live in a world  which is plagued by the attacks of demons known as corelings, which rise from the planet's core each night to feast upon humans (and "The Desert Spear is the second roman). The people hide behind wards, only Arlen search a way to fight against them.
